Zscaler has announced the launch of AI-Powered Zero Trust Segmentation, a new capability within its Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange platform that uses machine learning to automatically generate micro-segmentation policies based on traffic flow analysis.
The solution analyzes network traffic patterns across an organization to identify application dependencies, user behaviors, and data flows, then automatically creates and recommends segmentation policies. Early customers report an 80% reduction in time-to-deployment for micro-segmentation compared to traditional manual approaches.
The announcement positions Zscaler to compete more directly with dedicated micro-segmentation vendors like Illumio and Guardicore, while strengthening its zero trust platform story for enterprise customers.
