Zero Trust Adoption Report 2026

68% of enterprises now have active zero trust initiatives. ZTNA deployments up 52% year-over-year.

The annual Zero Trust Adoption Report shows that 68% of enterprises now have active zero trust initiatives, up from 45% in 2025. Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) deployments have increased 52% year-over-year, driven by the continued shift to hybrid work and the need to replace legacy VPN infrastructure.

The report identifies identity and access management (IAM) as the most commonly implemented zero trust pillar, followed by device security and network segmentation. Organizations cite complexity of implementation and lack of skilled personnel as the top barriers to adoption.

The report projects that 80% of enterprises will have zero trust initiatives by 2028.
