What's happening: The DoD investigation discovered vulnerabilities in refrigerators at Fort Irwin, Calif.; F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo.; Fort Huachuca, Ariz.; Naval Station Newport, R.I.; Columbus Air Force Base, Miss.; and Travis Air Force Base, Calif., between 2021 and 2022.

What to do: Security teams should review and apply the latest security patches for affected refrigerators, and consider implementing additional security measures, such as encryption and secure data storage.
